Welcome to the Village of Hempstead Housing Authority
Hempstead Housing Authority provides affordable housing in a safe and secure living environment for low- and moderate-income residents. General MacArthur Senior Village and Totten Towers provide housing for seniors and adults with disabilities. Clinton Court and Gladys Gardens provide townhouse-style homes for families. The Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8) provides housing assistance to families in privately owned housing.
Hempstead Housing Authority is managed by the Executive Director and the staff with the direction and policies of the Chairperson and the Board of Commissioners.

Employment and Volunteer Opportunities
Hempstead Housing Authority is governed by the civil service system. Appointments are made from candidates on lists established by the Nassau County Civil Service Commission, 40 Main Street, Hempstead, NY, 11550.
